- Business levels flat.
Quotations obtained for a range of products from China Enterprise, including welded sheetmetal fabrications, turned parts, pressings, stampings, and injection mouldings to be manufactured in China and delivered from Telford warehouse to customer against a weekly kanban.
Quotations show a 30% bottom line saving.
Contract awarded to a value of £350,000 annually. Customer X able to re-establish its competitiveness, with margins restored. Most importantly, this enables business levels to become much more buoyant. All new product ranges and designs produced with Chinese manufacturing methods in mind.
CEL Sheetmetal is able to prototype and produce any welded sheetmetal fabrication (Laser cut/CNC punched/CNC press braked/Welded/Painted as necessary) in the UK to prove the part prior (if necessary) to the item being tooled in China for cost down manufacture.
We are also able to offer Customer X the opportunity to supply fast turnaround requirements from UK source as well as producing lower volume production runs not having suitable volume for Chinese manufacture.
The CEL Group is thus able to satisfy all demands of supply from a suitable manufacturing perspective.
Account value to the Group is now in the region of £500,000 and rising with Customer X enjoying successive record years, with good profitability and a booming customer base benefiting from Customer X's proactive approach to sourcing.
